Teams commence in Taichung

The teams events are underway at the Taichung Table Tennis Open for the Disabled in Chinese Taipei, with Australia’s Nathan Pellissier and Rosalie Turnbull representing the Oceania region at the event.
After taking gold in the Class 8 Men’s Singles, Pellissier has continued his good run in Taichung, moving through the group stage to the semifinal of the Class 8-10 Men’s Teams event with partner Lien Chung Ching (TPE).
With the event encompassing a wider category of athletes this is a solid performance from Pellissier who will definitely be looking to continue notching up some experience on the international stage.
Pellissier and Lien will face Japanese duo Hideo Tamai and Tateishi Arufuahirokazu in the semifinal.
Rosalie Turnbull and partner Wang Ai Chu (TPE) have had a tough start to the Class 3-5 Teams event, going down in their opening two encounters. They will be looking to post their first win today when they face the combined team of Korea Republic and Chinese Taipei.
