Walk and talk for World Table Tennis Day
April 25, 2018
World Table Tennis Day isn’t always just about bats and balls. In Kiribati, table tennis enthusiasts hit the streets on the 6th April to celebrate the sport they love with a walk and talk.
The event took place in South Tarawa, the capital of Kiribati, aimed to promote and raise awareness to the public about the importance of sport through peace and friendship.
Organised by Smash Down Barriers staff and volunteers in partnership with Te Toa Matoa, an NGO
which advocates for people with a disability, the day was a success, with a large group turning out for the walk.
