Volunteer Opportunity with Tonga Table Tennis Federation
April 19, 2019
The Australian Volunteers Program provides a unique opportunity for skilled Australians to work with partner organisations overseas. ITTF-Oceania is supporting the position of Disability Inclusion Officer to work with Tonga Table Tennis Federation (TTTF) in delivering sustainable sport-for-development programs.
TTTF wishes to promote a culture of inclusion within Tongan communities through table tennis and sports. This assignment supports the Pacific Sports Partnerships (PSP), which uses sport to address health and social issues such as non-communicable diseases and inequalities relating to gender and people living with disability. A skilled volunteer is required to work alongside the team to assist with disability inclusion education and awareness to further assist with inspiring locals to take up participation in the sport and community activities.
You will work with the TTTF to identify barriers to participation, review current programs, opportunities and recommendations to make programs more inclusive for all.
Bring your passion for sport, share your experience and knowledge in promoting disability inclusion programs and working with people with disabilities.
Help contribute to breaking down barriers for people living with a disability in Tonga through sport for development.
