Aussies look for selection at World Hopes Challenge

Australian duo Hannah Green and Nicholas Lum are currently in Luxembourg representing the Oceania region at the 2017 ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge.

With the training component coming to an end, the Aussies now look to compete in the World Hopes Challenge event.

The competition will see 16 boys and 16 girls from 22 nations taking part, with the tournament being held at the National Sports Institute in Luxembourg.

The top four girls and boys, based on global reach and universality, will be selected for the Hopes Team which will compete at the ITTF World Cadet Challenge.

Hannah Green will be up against Germany’s Laura Kaim in her opening encounter, while in the Boys’ Singles, Nicholas Lum has drawn Peru’s Nicolas Luna.
