The ITTF-Oceania Cup is the premier event on the ITTF-Oceania Calendar. The event is held every year, and sees a total prize pool of over $20,000AU. The event is broadcasted within the Oceania Region, and also includes the Pacific Cup, which excludes Australia and New Zealand from competing. The Male and Female Champion’s gain entry into their respective World Cup’s.
Annual Event (Senior (Even Years) and Junior (Odd Years))
The ITTF-Oceania Championships are held annually, with the Senior Championships (Open and U21) held during the even years, and the Junior Championships (U18 and U15) held in the odd years. Previously the events were combined, however from 2012 onwards, the event has been split into Senior and Junior events.
ITTF-Oceania Olympic Qualifying
The ITTF-Oceania Olympic Qualifying events are held prior to the Summer Olympic Games, and Summer Youth Olympic Games. The Oceania Region has a quota of 3 positions for Men and Women in the Olympic Games, as well as 1 Team for Men and Women, and for 1 Boy and 1 Girl in the Youth Olympic Games.
ITTF-Oceania Para Table Tennis Regional Championships
The ITTF-Oceania Para Table Tennis Regional Championships are held every second year, in the odd numbered years. The event is the Regional Championships (Oceania Region), and acts a qualification event for the ITTF Para Table Tennis World Championships, and also the Paralympics. Oceania became a separate Region in Para Table Tennis in 2012.
ITTF-Oceania Cadet Challenge
The ITTF-Oceania Cadet Challenge is the qualifying tournament for Team Oceania that participates in the World Cadet Challenge. The event is held annually, and is historically held in conjunction with the ITTF Global Junior Circuit event that is held in Oceania.
ITTF-Oceania World Junior Championships Qualifying
The ITTF-Oceania World Junior Championships Qualifying tournament is held to determine the 2 quota places in which Oceania has for the World Junior Championships. The event is held annually, and is historically held in conjunction with the ITTF Global Junior Circuit event that is held in Oceania.
