Located in the western Pacific Ocean, Palau was the recent home for an Olympic Solidarity Technical Course, proceedings commenced on Sunday 29th November and concluded on Wednesday 9th December.
The expert on duty was Brett Clarke, former Australian international and later National Coach.
“In December, I worked closely with Palauan Sports Education specialist, Mr. Dean Terry, to implement a School and Coach Development Programme”, explained Brett Clarke following his visit to the tropics.
“Although little is known about Palau, it is a beautiful country with kind and talented people”, added Brett Clarke. “Tourism is one of the main industries as many enjoy Palau’s world class diving sites; English is widely spoken, along with the local Palauan language, so communication was no obstacle.”
