2013 ITTF-Oceania Hopes Challenge
The ITTF-Oceania Hopes Challenge is a talent identification tournament targeted for athletes aged 11 and 12 Years Old (Born in 2001/02). 2013 is the first year in which the event will be held.
The 2013 ITTF-Oceania Hopes Challenge will take place at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) – Melbourne, Australia – from 5 – 6 April 2013. The tournament will be conducted by Health, Wellness & Table Tennis.
The winner of the ITTF-Oceania Hopes Boy’s Singles & ITTF-Oceania Hopes Girl’s Singles will receive financial assistance to attend the ITTF Hopes Week & Challenge to be held at the Werner Schlager Academy – Vienna, Austria from 9 -16 June 2013.
Financial assistance to attend the ITTF Hopes Week & Challenge will be provided through the ITTF- Oceania Development Program and includes free hospitality at the ITTF Hopes Week & Challenge (valued at US$95 per night for 8 nights in a shared room = US$760) + US$650 towards airfare costs.
For the ITTF-Oceania Hopes Challenge, the ITTF-Oceania Development Program will provide accommodation for up to 12 athletes with a maximum of one boy and one girl per country. The accommodation includes the Training Camp preceding the competition, full attendance is required for assistance to be provided.
Prior to the competition, Health, Wellness & Table Tennis, will also be conducting a Training Camp to assist the young athletes with their preparation for the competition.
