James Morris elected as ITTF Executive Vice President

ITTF-Oceania President James Morris has been elected to the ITTF Executive Committee as ITTF Executive Vice President during the ITTF Annual General Meeting yesterday in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Following his election, James Morris gave the following statement:

“I am humbled and honoured to have been elected to the Executive Vice President position by the members of ITTF.

I am totally behind our President Mr. Thomas Weikert’s vision and manifesto for our wonderful sport, and I look forward to working with the rest of my elected colleagues.

The opportunity and responsibility to govern our sport at this highest level will be cherished and respected.

I wish to thank Mr. Patrick Gillmann from New Caledonia, who had represented Oceania at this level for the past four years, for his hard and dedicated work for Table Tennis globally, as well as within Oceania.

Again, I thank all those members who voted for me and I will do my best to keep Table Tennis at the forefront of world sport and of course I welcome all members of the ITTF to contact me anytime to talk Table Tennis.”

Continental representatives on the Board of Directors were also named at the ITTF AGM. The Oceania region will be represented by Graeme Ireland (Australia), Anthony Ho (Fiji), and Paul Kyle (New Zealand).
