Kevin was teamed up with LAI Yi-Yao of Chinese Taipei in the Junior Boys Team Event. Both players remained undefeated through the group stage which saw them enter the Semi Finals, and line up against Venezuela. Strong performances continued, and the team booked their place in the final of the event. The final saw their first match against a team outside of Latin America, this time they faced Sweden. Although Kevin was unable to win his single matches, he played a vital role in the doubles match, and with LAI Yi-Yao claiming both singles, the combined team of New Zealand/Chinese Taipei became champions.
The Junior Boys Doubles event saw Kevin lining up again with LAI Yi-Yao (TPE), and following on from their Team Event success, the pair was able to make their way through the draw untroubled, with Kevin claiming his second title in the same event.
With the Junior Boys Singles event remaining, Kevin entered as the number 4 seed, and had strong wins against Swedish, Guatemalan, Honduran and Indian opponents. Kevin has made his way through to the Quarter Final in a match up with GUPTA Utkarsh (IND). In a see-sawing battle, Kevin came out strong taking a two game lead before finding himself down two games to three. Kevin fought back to put the match into a deciding seventh game, but was unable to overcome his opponent, and finished with a commendable Quarter Final placing.
