K-Sports 2014 ITTF-Oceania Cup & Championships just around the corner

The Australian city of Bendigo will once again play host to the best table tennis athletes from throughout the Oceania region as the city prepares to host the K-Sports 2014 ITTF-Oceania Cup & Championships. The event returns to Bendigo following the successful K-Sports 2013 ITTF-Oceania Cup, and has added additional events with the inclusion of the ITTF-Oceania Championships.

Once again, the partnership between K-Sports and ITTF-Oceania has continued. The sport's tables distributor are please to once again share their passion for table tennis, and provide opportunities for the sport to grow within the region. "We are dleighted to be involved once again with this prestigious event, and look forward to a week of exciting table tennis action!" enthused the Director of K-Sports, Mr Xiaodan Cao.

The event is the premier table tennis competition within the region, which sees the champion of the ITTF-Oceania Cup gaining direct entry into the prestigious ITTF World Cup. In addition to a place at the ITTF World Cup the athletes are competing for a total prize pool of over $20,000AU!

The ITTF World Cup sees the world's best compete, with a restricted entry to only 20 athletes. The Men's World Cup will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany from 24 – 26 October 2014, while the Women's World Cup will take place from 10 - 12 October 2014.

Prior to the ITTF-Oceania Cup event taking place, the twelve member associations entered to compete, will be battling it out in the Men's and Women's Team Events, in which the champions secure a place at the 2015 ITTF World Team Classic.

About the K-Sports 2014 ITTF-Oceania Cup & Championships

The ITTF-Oceania Cup is the premier Table Tennis event on the ITTF-Oceania calendar.The event sees a total prize pool of over AU$20,000, with the Men's and Women's Champion gaining entry into their respective World Cup.

The ITTF-Oceania Championships is the longest standing event in the Oceania Table Tennis Federation, and sees the member associations of the region battling it out for the title of Teams, Singles, and Doubles champion. The 2014 ITTF-Oceania Championships also include the U21 ITTF-Oceania Championships.

The K-Sports 2014 ITTF-Oceania Cup & Championships will be staged at the Bendigo Stadium from 16 - 21 April. Tickets are on sale now through the Bendigo Visitors Centre.
