Auckland Again Proves Ideal Home, Now at Opposite End of Age Spectrum

Situated in New Zealand’s north island, Auckland proved an excellent home for the World Veteran Championships earlier this year in May; now some five months later the city has proved an equally fine host for players at the other extreme of the age spectrum.
The Cathay Pacific Auckland Table Tennis Stadium, an ITTF Hot Spot Centre, was the recent home for the first ever National Hopes Week in Oceania.
Six hours of practice per day, proceedings commenced on Monday 6th October and concluded on Saturday 11th October; the expert in charge was Switzerland’s Georg Silberschmidt.
