“Playing this many seven game matches was very tough. It was challenging mentally to bounce back from my loss. But I knew what I had to do in the last match to qualify and I was happy that I could prevail.” Matilda Alexandersson

There was a lot on the line as to compete at the Youth Olympic Games is literally a once in a lifetime opportunity.

“It’s a big opportunity to try qualify as athletes only get one chance to play at a Youth Olympic Games.” – Matilda Alexandersson

“It was an unreal feeling to come out on top, especially after saving four match points. Hopefully I can do the same in Bendigo in a couple months time. To qualify for the Youth Olympics would be a dream come true.” – Mateo Dvorani
