ITTF-Oceania is pleased to announce that Patrick Wuertz has been appointed High Performance Officer. Patrick will be responsible for providing clear pathways for players, coaches, officials and administrators to transition from community sport in to high performance structures.

Patrick’s experience and education will see the high performance programs off to a strong start. As well as playing career that included competing semi-professionally in the second division of the Bundesliga, Patrick completed tertiary studies in Exercise Science and Health Management. He also recently obtained a Master in International Public Health, focusing on project management in developing countries.

Patrick previously worked for the largest German state table tennis federation, developing and implementing training concepts for high performance players as well as conducting coaching courses. More recently, Patrick was the Director of Coaching and High Performance for Table Tennis Queensland, as well as the TTA  National Squad Coach and Coaching Education Project Officer.

Presently, Patrick is the Head Coach of Health, Wellness and Table Tennis, where he is responsible for their high performance squad, a role that he will continue to occupy concurrently with his position at ITTF-Oceania.
