Team Oceania have kickstarted their 2019 ITTF World Cadet Challenge campaign as they wrap up their training camp in Melbourne in preparation for the big event. Oceania’s best cadets are set to compete in Wladyslawowo, Poland next week at the World Cadet Challenge after an action-packed four days of training and team bonding at LOOPS Melbourne.

“It’s been amazing having the Oceania team here getting ready for the World Cadet Challenge in Poland. This is a really great way to support the continent to try and get the best results possible next week and also help the future of Oceania’s young players.”- Ashley Robinson, LOOPS head coach

With both training and cultural activities, Melbourne provided the perfect opportunity for the team to come together both on and off the table.

“The camp in Melbourne has been a great way for the whole team to come together, mix cultures, get to know each other and bond. Rarely is there a chance to do so before a tournament. It’s been great having a mix of players coming in and training with the team as well, including the Australian National Squad and has provided the team with a great foundation for the competition ahead.” – Tim Seaholme
